August Bank Holiday means only one thing in this part of the world… Brighton Mod Weekender<\/a>! There’ll be scooters and Lambrettas galore driving down from London in honour of the 1950s and 60s Mod pilgrimages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year is extra special, with the 40th anniversary of Quadrophenia, the film that captured the “Mods and Rockers” legend and made stars of Phil Daniels and Leslie Ash<\/a>. This weeks blog features brand new Autumn Winter 2019 gear inspired by the styles and subcultures of the Mod era. Take your pick!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors to Brighton Mod Weekender will see plenty of bomber collars on people’s jackets, but not many on a polo shirt! Like the M3600, it’s crafted from a divine 100% honeycomb pique cotton, keeping you cool and fresh all day long. Newsboy caps have a long, heritage-rich history. The name comes from old-timey America, when boys would cycle through the streets on their paper round shouting “Read All About It!…” Our favourite headwear brand Failsworth has put out two fantastic Newsboy style caps for Autumn Winter 2019, the first of which is this distinctive corduroy hat in Fawn<\/a> and Navy<\/a>. This season’s caps boast a pin-on badge with the Failsworth logo. We run two sizes in these: Medium (57cm) and Large (59cm).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to Mod-inspired outerwear, only a Harrington jacket will do. We’re delighted to unveil two brand new Harrington Jackets for AW19 season from two of our favourite heritage brands. Ska and Soul’s jacket<\/a> boasts a classic Royal Stewart interior lining, pop buttons on the front, plus a small funnel neck and ribbed cuffs to help keep the wind and rain out. Lyle & Scott’s version<\/a> boast an all-over tartan check design in Navy and bottle green, a button neck, and two front pockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
